Regina Peruggi recently stepped down as President of Kingsborough Community College of the City University of New York, which was named in 2013 as one of the top four community colleges in the United States by the Aspen Institute’s Community College Excellence Program.
She was previously President of the Central Park Conservancy, the non-profit agency that manages Central Park under a management contract with New York City. She was earlier President of Marymount Manhattan College and also served as the University Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Adult Programs and Continuing Education at the City University of New York.
Dr. Peruggi is Board Chairperson of the Havens Relief Society, a board member of the Silver Shield Foundation, Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parklands Conservancy. She has been Chairperson of the Board of the Women’s Refugee Commission, President of the Continuing Education Association of New York and Chairperson of the New York State Adult Learning Services Council.
Dr. Peruggi received her B.A. from the College of New Rochelle, M.B.A from New York University and Ed.D. from Columbia University’s Teachers College.
