Anthony Knerr, Managing Director of AKA Strategy, has over twenty-five years of strategic consulting experience assisting leading universities, cultural and arts organizations and other nonprofit institutions in the United States and around the world.
Prior to founding AKA Strategy, Dr. Knerr was Executive Vice President for Finance and Treasurer of Columbia University, Vice Chancellor for Budget and Planning of City University of New York and Special Assistant to the Acting President of Yale University. Dr. Knerr has taught at Columbia College, Indiana University, New School and Yale University. He has written widely on strategy, nonprofit organizations, higher education, public policy and literature and is the author of Shelley’s “Adonais”: A Critical Edition.
Dr. Knerr is Treasurer of Words Without Borders, a board member of the Keats-Shelley Association and the New York Society Library. He is also President Emeritus of United Neighborhood Houses and President Emeritus of the Sea Turtle Conservancy. He presently serves as Coordinating Director of the Delaware Group of Mutual Funds. He is a member of the Foreign Policy Association, New York Economic Club and Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Knerr received his B.A. and M.A. from Yale University and his Ph.D. from New York University.
